MISSION 2 - Week 3
The weather is turning. Those of you in the US will be looking forward to summer and we in the Southern Hemisphere start getting ready for winter. Blankets, heated blankets, heaters etc and it just reminds me of a thought I had a while back.
What can we learn from the weather. Well it's pretty much like life...hot - cold - rain - sunshine etc.
In life we have the ups and downs, good times and bad and guess what - It's all good. Every day I thank God for adversity for if I do that I know that I'm going to have a good day...after all if I embrace the bad times, how much better are the good times going to be.
Life is going to be thrown at us whether we like it or not. Make a choice today to embrace everything that comes along and your life will change for the better. HOW CAN IT NOT.
My training is fantastic and I'm eating really well. Hope you are all doing the same.

MISSION 2 - Week 2
This is my second week on my new nutrition plan and I have to say that my previous eating plan just wasn't cutting it. A stalled metabolism is not a pretty thing....but the good news is, it can be reversed.
I'm amazed at how much food we need to keep our metabs working properly especially at my age.
I've gone from 1600 - 1800 to 2000 cals starting next week. I'll finish at 3300 before I start fat burning.
My observation, personally, is that the extended time period tends to change your head space with regard to the word DIET.
What I mean is that I have become much more comfortable with the concept of "Lifestyle" as opposed to a "12 week transformation". Personally I believe that for me this concept is going to be far more sustainable than continually working to a short term deadline.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A COPOUT. I'm following a plan that tells me I'll be at 7% in 17 weeks time and I'd rather do it that way than do a 12 week challenge and restrict my eating so much that I slow my metabolism and battle to maintain thereafter.
Watch this space...it's going to get interesting.

MISSION 2 - Week 1
If anybody is confused about my heading it's because I discovered that my metabolism is not running at optimum speed and that I was eating half the calories I shoud have been....so I have abandoned my major goal and have started fresh.
I have also started a hypertrophy program and with my increase in calories from 1600 to 3200 it'll be interesting to see what happens.
Once my metabolism is stabilised I then start fat burning for around 9 weeks. By then I will be in the best shape of my life.
So I'll give feed back + pics and let's see.

MISSION 2 - Week 1 - revisited
Monday - started back into the gym with my hypertrophy program. Back to a Mon - Wed - Fri routine with no cardio for now. Reason...Thanks to Mike and his reference to Physique Transformation I am in the process of rebuilding my metabolism before I get back to fat burning. The process will take 19 weeks so I should looking and feeling like a a million on Oct 7.
Looking forward to that and in the mean time I'm trying to get to grips with this nutrition program which is phenominal.
See ya soon.
