THE CRUSADES - by dougal macdonald Chief Evangalist - Day 12

Went to see the neurosurgeon today. sigh....looks like I may be going back into hospital for another op for some plastic surgery.

Is that another setback....nah, it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully after this I'm done. My scar is healing nicely and doesn't look so much like a butchers shop any more.

I'm feeling great but it's going to be about 3 months before I can hit the weight room. another sigh.

What can I look forward to...hmmm, oh yeah, tomorrow is a walking day...yoo hoo.

Saw "The Freedom diaries" last night, wow, what an inspirational movie. Now there's a case of someone changing things...with less than zero help from her collegues and superiors. Came at a cost though.

Maybe that's part of the message...Balance.

We all need balance in our lives otherwise the cost of whatever we are doing for good is negated by the fallout we experience.

Hey Dougal,

You sound kind of down. I think it was the Whoo-hoo for the walking day tomorrow. Can't say I blame you. That sucks compared to what you were doing before.

And this is said with all the love I have in my voice, be thankful you don't have PMS and a craving for cookie dough that normally never is even remotely tempting but seems to be taking over your life for about 24 - 48 hours these days. I'm not saying I"d trade a trip to the neurosurgeon for it, but maybe the plastic guy. . . ;)

Remember, you're the guy who started working out within what, a day of breaking his neck? And when you get there you'll be setting a new standard for recovery times. Everyone else who broke their necks will be slightly pissed at you for setting the bar so high. And then they will get some portion of the message - we're blessed to be working with what we've got, including inexplicable amounts of unquenchable gumption. Go for it.

Meanwhile, I"m trying to grow out of fashion geek to something a little more respectable. transformation happens on many levels. Today we're focusing on stopping the cookie dough craving and getting dressed with some Style. Equally daunting tasks. A

all this said simply for levity. We're all behind you. Blessings.

Such a good Dougal photo today. Makes me happy to see that face smiling and living to the hilt, BUT, don´t like the idea of having you go back for more surgery. Tell us when and how long so can worry with a limit. So glad that you can walk. Now that is a blessing for sure!

Julie, nah I'm cool, no worries.
No way would I swop what I have for PMS...no way. The cookie dough...mmmm. Thank you for your support and comments. BTW, put some picks of the new and old you on the site so we can make comparisons. What's wrong with being a style geek?

Lynda, I'm seeing the plastic dude next monday...pse don't worry...they just need to cover the big hole in the back of my head. Nothing too major.

Juli, thank you for popping in and your comments. Don't be a stranger.
