THE CRUSADES - by dougal macdonald Chief Evangalist - 2nd 28 day | Day 4

How long have you been saying. "I am sick of the way I look and feel and on monday I'm going to do something about it". How many times have you started on monday only to binge on wednesday evening and say " Monday, I'll start again on monday." Maybe all of us have at some stage.

Well I'm sorry I do NOT have the solution but you do.

This seems totally out of left field and I have no idea where the idea came from but what about this. It goes against everything I have ever learned about goal setting but as I sit here thinking about it as I write, it may just work.

We are told to set a long term meaningful goal and then take daily action steps, but the fact is that's tough to do when your goal is bigger than Mount Everest.

So what about this....a goal is a goal and anybody can do something for just one day. Set a goal "just for today". Whatever it is. To train with intensity, to eat 100% clean and so on.

When you've got through today, do the same thing tomorrow. Work it properly and before you know it a month will have passed and you will have achieved great things.

Maybe this sounds crazy and maybe it doesn't but if it helps one person to get on and stay on track I'm thrilled.

Give it a try...can't hurt.

Love the ONE day deal. Yes, I can do one day, so will try today and see. You are so right. We who have no patience find the one day deal easy. Thanx for the idea. Will do it!

It is actually a great idea. Most anybody can achieve a one day goal. When they start stringing together one day goals they will see the power of those goals. Great post!

as they say a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step... and the another....and another.

I'm glad everybody likes the idea because it can work. Give it a shot, nothing to lose.

One day at a time. That concept is VERY familiar to me. It changes lives and has definitely changed mine.
