As I watch a beautiful cherry red sun set over the valley from my patio, it occurs to me how lucky I am. I have come to the end of one journey and I begin another. Stronger, more resilient, tougher, with greater faith and no real downside.
Yes I have limited neck and shoulder movement, so what. I really believe that I have gained a lot more than I have lost out of this experience.
For one, out of my accident I met an amazing human being, Carlos De Jesus. The power of communication over the internet has negated the actual distance between us and has allowed us to interchange ideas, explore life values and principles.
I have a deep respect for this quietly dignified man who has achieved so much in his lifetime without any brash trumpet blowing, a rare quality in these modern times.
This powerhouse is the genuine article. An unconditional giver who lives life with joy and passion and respect.
One day soon, in perfect health, because of him, it will be my great pleasure to stand before him, shake him by the hand and say "Sir, I salute you."

this post touched me as well; you are a kind soul, too and you achieved already a lot. Your attitude is amazing and I admire how you manage your days and your work again.It is a wonder what you did and how (!) you are healing.
