THE CRUSADES - by dougal macdonald Chief Evangalist - 2nd 28 day | Day 20

I love listening to friends talk about how great life is.

Most of my friends are like this. How come? Because I chose them like that. I would not want to be surounded by negative people so I choose like minded friends.

People like you guys and gals who have been such a great support to me.. People who want to move forward. Only look backwards if you want to go in that direction.

I don't listen to the news, I don't read the papers, I watch TV intuitively, meaning if I am watching a movie I know nothing about and my spirit starts feeling disturbed...bang, bang, move on to National Geographic.

I don't think I'm being naive, I think I'm being realistic. My thought processes affect my life and I don't want to be at a dinner party where everyone says "oooh I hope I don't get mugged on the way home."

We are going through some turbulence in South Africa right now...political and criminal and all of a sudden a lot of people are leaving the country.

I speak to some of these and ask them why they are going. Most of them say they can't stand the crime. I then ask them how they have been affected by crime and a lot of them say..."We haven't, but we read about it in the papers,". Oh so you are making a decision based on something that MAY happen in the future. SAY WHAT? Boy if that isn't attracting bad stuff to you then I don't know what is.

Fill your mind with things of health and fitness, good positive happy friends, weekends filled with love and laughter and family, scrumptious BBQ's with super healthy tasty food. Fill your childrens heads full of good stuff, not stuff that MAY happen.

Remember 90% of your fears NEVER materialise. Live life as it is now, not as it may be tomorrow.

Dougal--I am the same way. I never read the papers or listen to the news. I don't need that crap spilling into my life. I like to be positive and carry an uplifted soul!

Hi Dougal, I like your post today. I find that people who follow the news every single day get bogged down by the (mostly) negative stuff. I like focusing on the positive stuff like you do.
